MTD's fully equipped tool room, with both CNC and conventional machining equipment, our state of the art wire EDM machines and a myriad of both standard and specialized equipment, allows MTD to take on jobs of all sizes and specifications. It is one of our core competencies and is the original and only line of business MTD was involved in at the time of our foundation over 35 years ago. Progressive, Blanking, Transfer and Hand-Transfer Tooling along with Mechanical fixtures for manufacturing and testing are what we do everyday. MTD has supplied manufactures from every industry and in almost every country their tooling needs.

MTD Metro Tool & Die Ltd. has been building dies for over 35 years. Our tool build area is one of the largest in Mississauga Ontario. MTD is Capable of building 12 to 14 Progressive dies at our Mississauga location and managing many more here in North America or with our affiliate in China. MTD has created a strong relationship with this country managing projects on a global scale has been part of MTD's sustained success within the Tool & Die field.

MTD specializes in mid-range 300 to 800 ton tools progressive, hand-transfer, blanking, we can quote transfer tooling, but would not be able to test tools at our facility, tool try-out would need to happen at customers site.
